ZANTAZ, Inc., the global leader in content archiving and electronic disclosure solutions, has been ranked a top-five service provider and a top-five software provider in the prestigious 2006 Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey.
This is the second year in a row that ZANTAZ, which offers Introspect, the industry’s most scalable and efficient litigation support solution, has been ranked a top-five service provider.
“The Top Five service and software providers in this year’s survey truly stand out among their law firm and corporate clients for the scope, quality, and depth of their offerings,” said George J. Socha, Jr., of Socha Consulting LLC. “Among the many criteria we consider, to reach a Top Five ranking, providers must have a broad offering, receive positive mention from respondents, and generate significant revenue from their electronic disclosure solutions.”
“Our ranking in the Socha-Gelbmann survey reflects ZANTAZ’ ongoing success at understanding and meeting the specific needs of the many organisations that require a more flexible, cost effective approach to the disclosure process,” said Glenn Perachio, European Director for ZANTAZ. “As we continue to expand the capabilities of Introspect, we will remain focused on delivering innovations that remove complexity, cost, and risk from the electronic disclosure and review process.”
The survey reports that the market for electronic disclosure grew 56 percent in 2005 and will likely increase approximately 37 percent from 2005 to 2006, another 37 percent from 2006 to 2007, and 29 percent from 2007 to 2008. According to the report, the market drivers last year included: cost management, the lack of standards, the overwhelming volume of data and the lack of quality education and in-depth understanding.
To provide the basis for the analysis, the Socha-Gelbmann survey worked with data from 91 organisations that provided or consumed electronic disclosure services or software. Socha Gelbmann gathered information through direct confidential interviews and three in-depth spreadsheets – one for law firms, a second for corporations, and a third for services and software providers.
As in years past, the consumers represented a cross-section of Am Law 200 law firms as well as some of the largest companies in the US and the providers came from a robust cross section of the industry. In addition to gathering information from these primary sources, a range of secondary source information was collected from variety of business and information resources.
To arrive at its rankings, Socha-Gelbmann conducted a detailed evaluation of a broad array of over 300 qualitative and quantitative factors. This information was aggregated into seven top-level categories: experience, capacity, types of services, software usage, law firm rankings, corporate rankings, and revenue. The final results were based on a weighted combination of the criteria, with the Top Five Providers being listed in alphabetical order, without identifying individual ranking within the group.
