Deepnet Security, a provider of strong, two-factor and two-way authentication solutions, has announced general availability of it’s flagship product, Mobile 2×2 and MobilePass v2 authentication token, for mobile phones and PDA’s.

Mobile 2×2 and MobilePass v2.0 offer software-based two-factor and two-way authentication tokens that reside on mobile phones or PDAs. The new release provides an extremely cost-effective, two-factor and two-way authentication token that IT managers will find easy to implement and manage. Mobile 2×2 offers a Java token downloaded to the mobile device and MobilePass offers a ‘one time password’ token sent via sms for mobile devices that do not support Java.

Commenting on this latest release Yurong Lin CEO of Deepnet Security said “New technology for authenticating users and devices such as PDAs, laptop’s and desktop computers within the enterprise and consumer markets is growing every month. Dedicated hardware tokens do not offer the same flexibility as a token loaded on to a business or consumer device that a user already has, such as a mobile phone or PDA”. Specific industry sectors that are interested in adopting new authentication methods are consumer banking and the healthcare sector, where cost is an important factor and dedicated hardware tokens are not always suitable.

Mobile 2×2 and MobilePass v2.0 are available now. Perpetual token and server license, including 1 year’s support and maintenance, from Ј10.00
