Today’s mobile phone is a versatile terminal, with e.g. office applications, where various services, programs, and games can be downloaded. For now, threats against mobile phones are minor compared to those against fixed networks and computers. However, similar to computers, mobile phones can be protected against malware infections.

Today, some of the most significant threats against mobile phones are various attempts to commit a fraud against a mobile phone user. The most common methods of fraud include efforts to make the mobile phone user to call or send SMS messages to chargeable service numbers.
