ScriptLogic announces Security Explorer 6.0

ScriptLogic today announced the availability of Security Explorer 6, the latest version of the company’s real-time manager of access controls and security on Windows file servers and workstations.

This release includes support for Windows Vista, an updated, extensible user interface, centralized management of file security on workstations as well as servers, and other various enhancements.

“Security Explorer extends trusted security and access management functionality to servers and workstations across the enterprise,” said Brian Small, vice president of product development at ScriptLogic. “Version 6.0 builds on Security Explorer´s increasing popularity with fantastic user interface enhancements, and innovative and customer-requested enhancements, such as cached browsing, improved detection and remediation of broken permission inheritance and management of advanced service options.”

ScriptLogic’s Security Explorer 6.0 is available immediately and priced on a per-server and per-workstation basis. A free 30-day evaluation is available for download.
