Philadelphia business leaders announced the establishment of Lyrio, a new business to deliver IP phone solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. Lyrio’s mission is to transform the DNA of the business workplace by delivering award-winning ShoreTel IP/PBX technology and enterprise-level customer service.
Lyrio founders include Michael Cassady, a former nominee for Philadelphia Entrepreneur of the Year who most recently served as the CEO of GlobalFit, Howard Hoffman, a 25 year veteran of the telecoms and technology business and former founder and sales director of ITI, and Paul Sewards, a former EVP and Managing Director at BBDO New York and an award winning advertising and marketing specialist with Microsoft and British Telecom.
Lyrio follows the separation of business from Interchange Technology Inc (ITI) and the additional investment from local private equity group DAC Partners. All existing ITI staff will join the new business as well as the reseller certification from ShoreTel (www.ShoreTel.com).
President and CEO Michael Cassady said, “I believe strongly in the trajectory of the industry and in bringing such a quality product to small to medium-sized businesses. ShoreTel is the fastest growing IP and PBX product worldwide and they’ve already surpassed industry giants Nortel and Cisco and receiving accolades from the likes of Business Week, Nemertes Research and PC Magazine,”
Unlike many value added resellers, Lyrio’s ambition is to establish a brand built around delivering enterprise-level solutions normally only accessible to the Fortune 500. Chief Marketing Officer Paul Sewards continues, “The Lyrio difference is that we’re not just delivering a high quality product but we are building a brand that is highly focused on client satisfaction.”
The business VOIP market is projected to reach $3.3 billion by 2010 according to a recent Yankee Group study.
