Panda Software Launches GateDefender Integra

Panda Software presents the new Panda GateDefender Integra, an all-in-one appliance for protecting against all types of threats. It offers excellent performance, a low cost of ownership, and is easy to set up and manage. This appliance completes Panda Software’s range of perimeter security solutions, which is currently made up of the GateDefender Performa SCM appliances.

GateDefender Integra is the new UTM (Unified Threat Management) appliance from Panda Software. This hardware device with dedicated software is designed to protect networks using all necessary types of protection: firewall, VPN service, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), anti-malware, content filtering, anti-spam protection and web filtering. The different types of protection work together to offer complete security against both known and unknown network threats and content threats.

The device is installed at the gateway between the corporate network and the Internet or another network, just like a firewall, and is managed through a straight-forward centralized web administration console. Therefore it can scan all inbound and outbound traffic in the corporate network and traffic between network zones, ensuring complete protection for all zones, without degrading the performance of the connection. It also automatically updates the virus signature file every 90 minutes.

Panda GateDefender Integra is released on the market in 2 hardware models; GateDefender Integra 100 and GateDefender Integra 300, which provide 4 and 8 communications ports to adapt the needs of companies with different segmentation needs.

Panda GateDefender Integra is a perimeter prevention appliance that is installed in the corporate network to provided preventive, centralized protection against all types of threats. It incorporates all necessary protection (firewall, VPN, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), anti-malware protection, content filtering, anti-spam protection and web filtering) in a single device, which the administrator can enable, disable and configure through a single remote-access web console that is easy to manage. Once installed, it requires minimal maintenance and simply involves extracting automatic reports on system activity. In addition, the administrator can monitor several units from a single console.
