Ness Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSTC), a global provider of information technology (IT) solutions and services, today announced that Achmea, one of the largest financial service providers in the Benelux, has acquired a corporate license for Ness Technologies’ USoft software development platform.
The new corporate license significantly extends the number of USoft users at Achmea, and combines all of the existing USoft licenses at Achmea into one license framework. The corporate license enables hundreds of Achmea employees at several locations to use the developed front and back office applications built with USoft within the company.
“Strengthening a relationship of many years, this agreement with Achmea proves that Ness, as a professional business partner, has the confidence to serve large multinational organizations such as Achmea,” said Cretien Jung, Managing Director of Ness Benelux B.V. “This agreement is an important step ahead in strengthening our position in the Dutch pension and healthcare insurance market with USoft.”
“USoft allows us to make changes to applications efficiently in order to respond to rapidly changing business requirements,” said Ben Dunnink, Technical Project Leader of Achmea Active, Achmea´s IT department. “Our long-standing relationship with Ness is characterized not only by the powerful possibilities of the USoft development tool, but also by Ness’s flexibility and commitment as a business partner. For us, these were essential reasons for wanting to develop our application with USoft in the coming years.”
The USoft Developer platform, from Ness Technologies´ R&D center in Naarden, is being used in the Netherlands, Canada, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia and the United States, among others. Developed for use in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), USoft applications are known for their superior performance, data quality, scalability and flexibility. USoft is regularly chosen for larger and more complex Web or client/server applications, where maintenance costs can be kept to a minimum as a result of the high stability.
