Danish software developer, Danware, has chosen to invest in the UK market by establishing a local presence under the name of its wholly owned subsidiary, NetOp Tech Ltd.
Danware, which develops award-winning remote control technology, computer based teaching software and security products, has opened an office in the UK to provide a base for servicing and supporting existing UK partners and customers. With a local presence, the firm can now put a structured partner programme in place, that attracts partners like Enterprise International (EI), which this month signed an international partner agreement to work for Danware across several European markets including the UK and Italy.
The opening of NetOp Tech Ltd follows the recent launch of Danware subsidiaries in Germany and the US. Over 90 per cent of Danware’s earnings and turnover is derived from overseas markets and the UK market is set to play a major role in the growth of the company.
Mike Kibblewhite, newly appointed country manager, believes that having a presence in the UK will help build the NetOp brand quickly and enable the company to support its growing channel.
“The UK is one of our top three markets and critical for our success as a company – we already have over 2,000 customers here, but are looking to invest in a more structured and focused partner base to accelerate this growth and make NetOp a recognisable brand within our key market sectors. The model for the UK is the same one as we implemented in Germany and the US, where increased focus on our branding and channel partners led to increased sales and high customer satisfaction.”
Kibblewhite added that: “The UK office is already open for business, with an eight-strong team, including a new channel manager, channel marketing and product technical support. At the moment, we’re spending most of our time actively looking to build up our reseller network right across the UK and Ireland, and recruit those with the right skills and experience to sell our NetOp software. We’re continually looking for specialist knowledge to push NetOp and make it one of the leading product lines in the industry.”
