Internet Security Systems Seen As ‘Trusted Security Advisor’ By Its EMEA Channel Partners

Internet Security Systems, Inc. (ISS) (NASDAQ: ISSX), the worldwide leader in pre-emptive enterprise security, today announced that in a recent survey, the company had received a 97.1 per cent ‘satisfied’ rating from its EMEA channel partners, with 100 per cent of respondents viewing the company as their trusted security advisor.

“Our channel partners are a very important route to market for us, as they are the ones improving customer relationships and capitalising on the market opportunities,” said Patrick Teirlinckx, EMEA Partner Marketing Manager for Internet Security Systems. “At ISS we are continuously reassessing what we can do to make things easier for our partners, in order to help them address the needs and concerns of their customers. This survey has been a crucial element of the partner feedback process and we are delighted with the results.”

Answered by an even split of sales and marketing staff to technical staff, further results from the survey revealed that over 95 per cent agreed that the company delivered a good quality of service to its partners, with 100 per cent rating for the quality of ISS products.

“The results from this survey have shown us that we are meeting the objectives we set, yet we are not complacent. It has also revealed certain areas for improvement and these areas will be our focus over the coming months. We very much value the input from all our partners and will continually strive to make working with ISS easy and better for them,” added Jaap Smit, Senior Vice President EMEA for Internet Security Systems.

The survey, which ran from June 2006 until August 2006, was initiated by ISS to get a better understanding of its partners needs, so that ISS could improve the way it works with them. And with 67 per cent of respondents planning or considering the introduction of managed security services, the results will also help to focus ISS’ strategic focus and overall partner support.

The results from the survey have also been used towards the design and content of the new ISS Partner Zone which will be launched at the end of October.

ISS’ Proventia® product line and Managed Security Services (MSS), which work together to protect customers from the desktop to the network, enable partners to deliver pre-emptive protection against the evolving threat landscape to a wide range of customers.

Moving forward, ISS’ progression into “Protection On-Demand” services will afford partners even greater opportunities to supply customers with security that is extremely flexible, cost-effective and easy to obtain and manage.
