IntelliReach Corporation, the integrated messaging management company, and Akonix Systems, Inc., the provider of instant messaging (IM) security solutions chosen by more customers than any other brand, today announced a technology partnership which will provide a single index for archived email and instant messages as part of IntelliReach´s next-generation integrated messaging management solution, mx2020(tm).

“We are very excited about this technology partnership,” said Lance Urbas, President and CEO of IntelliReach. “Akonix is the most deployed enterprise IM management solution on the market today. The integration of our technologies will reduce IT complexity by providing one location for email and IM retention.”

The integration of Akonix with IntelliReach mx2020 was propelled by customer demand, predominantly among financial services organizations that use Akonix´s L7 Enterprise IM management system for securing, controlling, and logging instant messaging.

“IntelliReach is a premier provider of a truly integrated messaging management solution,” said Don Montgomery, Vice President of Marketing at Akonix. “By integrating email storage, security, and administration into a centralized policy-based solution, IntelliReach is revolutionizing the way that organizations manage their messaging environments. Akonix IM integration will further enhance what already is an extremely comprehensive solution.”

IntelliReach mx2020 reduces the complexity, cost, and risk associated with managing messaging environments by integrating archiving, compliance, discovery, filtering, and secure messaging into a single policy-based solution that is delivered as a managed service. With the addition of Akonix IM integration, IntelliReach customers can access a single index for archived email and instant messages and achieve full compliance with regulatory requirements pertaining to both email and instant messaging, such as SEC 17a, NASD 3010, HIPAA, and Sarbanes-Oxley, among others.
