Essential Security Software, a provider of outbound e-mail and document security solutions, and Innernet, Inc., an Internet Service Provider in the Tri-State region, today announced the availability of Essential Taceo(TM) to Innernet´s subscribers. With Taceo, consumers and small businesses can now easily apply encryption and controls to their outbound e-mail and files to ensure absolute confidentiality when communicating sensitive information.

“We have always taken a leadership position delivering innovative new services to our customers,” said Nathan Rotz, president and CEO of Innernet. “With Taceo, our customers now have some of the most advanced technology available for controlling exactly who receives their information and how it gets used.”

Essential Taceo is a user friendly e-mail and document security solution that integrates with the Microsoft(R) Outlook(R) toolbar, giving users the power to apply transit protection and usage controls to e-mail content. Taceo allows users to determine how recipients may use their e-mail and documents. For example, senders can prevent unauthorized distribution (no forwarding, printing) and prevent unauthorized editing (no cut, copy, paste) of content. In addition, users can set expiration times and dates on e-mail and documents, as well as set usage permissions that evolve with time.

“The prevalence of identify theft and increasing privacy concerns are driving businesses and consumers to take proactive efforts to protect their confidential information,” said Ray Zambroski, CEO, Essential Security Software. “With Taceo, users are gaining a level of security and control over their digital communications that has previously only been available to powerful businesses and government agencies.”

Taceo provides 1024bit RSA asymmetric encryption, 192bit 3-DES encryption, and digital signatures or comments that can be applied to files. Taceo´s persistent security and control remains for the life-cycle of the e-mail or document including while in storage, transit, and after it has arrived on the recipient´s desktop. Controls to prevent forwarding, editing, printing etc. can be applied to sensitive documents including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint(R), and Adobe PDF file types as well as TIFF, BMP, JPEG, GIF images and more.
