Hitachi Data Systems Appoints New UK Sales Leader

Hitachi Data Systems, provider of Application Optimized Storage™ solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), has announced the appointment of Andrew Wilson as its UK Sales Director. With a deep understanding of international business development and the storage market, Andrew will lead the UK sales teams from Hitachi Data Systems’ European Headquarters at Stoke Poges, United Kingdom.

Commenting on the appointment, Brian Moroney, Managing Director, Hitachi Data Systems UK said: “We are thrilled to have Andrew in this key UK role. His vast experience of working with companies of all sizes will be invaluable as Hitachi expands its midrange business. With Andrew’s international business background, he will be a real asset to the team and help us grow our UK customer base even further.”

Andrew has over 10 years of both senior management and business development within leading IT companies. He joins the company with a wealth of knowledge of the storage market and his most recent position was the Business Development Director at GlassHouse Technologies, where he played a key role in the construction of global financial business impact service models. Prior to this role, Andrew was the International Commercial Solutions Director for CNT International and also held significant positions with EMC and GE Capital
