Comodo, a global leader in Identity and Trust Assurance Management solutions, today announced the availability of Comodo Vulnerability Scanning and Assessment Service (VSA), one of the most powerful on-demand network security auditing services available on the market today. The VSA Service helps administrators identify security flaws, backdoors, un-patched software and other ways hackers can compromise a network to get onto corporate servers.

The HackerGuardian VSA is a fully configurable security auditing, assessment, and reporting service. The flexible and powerful service enables users to run fully customizable, on-demand security audits of corporate networks with remote audits run over 10,600 individual tests on an organization’s servers and network before generating an in-depth audit report. Tests are fully configurable with user defined plug in selection, full scheduling, unlimited recurring scans, concurrent scanning of multiple IPs and more.

Importantly, with specialized expertise as a Certification Authority, Comodo is able to continuously update the service with the latest vulnerability checks via a direct feed mechanism available to all VSA Service subscribers – providing up to the second protection against the latest threats. Within the interface, vulnerabilities checks are categorized by threat classification into ‘families’ and are fully configurable – allowing administrators to choose exactly which tests are included in any particular audit.

“With Identity theft issues on the rise, consumers are increasingly showing a preference for sites that use vulnerability management services so that they can rest assured that their information will not be stolen by hackers,” said Melih Abdulhayoglu, President, Chief Security Architect and CEO of Comodo. “Comodo, as a Certification Authority, has the specialized expertise to provide real-time vulnerability management services to the enterprise segment.
