Astaro Security Gateway receives Common Criteria certification

Astaro has announced that Astaro Security Gateway V6.300 has received the coveted Common Criteria certification from the German Federal Office for Information Security BSI. This certification will serve to assure customers, including those within the government sector, that Astaro´s systems and processes have been successfully tested by an independent and accredited evaluation laboratory and conform to IT security standards sanctioned by the International Standards Organisation.

Common Criteria for IT Security Evaluation (CC), also known as ISO standard 15408, was collectively developed by the national security organisations of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the Netherlands. It is a standard for evaluating the security features and capabilities of information technology products and is accepted by many countries around the globe.

The Common Criteria certificate has been issued for Astaro Security Gateway V6.300, which runs on all Astaro appliances as well as on Intel-compatible servers.
