Apple Mac OS X patch fixes security holes

By | November 28, 2006

Apple on Tuesday released its seventh security update for Mac OS X, correcting 31 vulnerabilities, including a buffer overflow in the Airport drivers.

Other patches in the 2006-007 update include fixes for flaws in Apple’s own code as well as third-party components that come with the operating system. The update does not fix all publicly known flaws that were discovered over the past few weeks as part of the Month of Kernel Bugs project.

Mac OS X users can download the security update via the operating system’s Software Update feature or Apple´s downloads Web site.
