AEP Networks, a leading provider of secure application access solutions, and Ericom Software, a leader in enterprise-wide application access solutions, today announce a technology and co-marketing partnership to enable seamless integration between AEP’s SSL VPN products and Ericom’s server-based computing solution. The partnership will allow the companies to jointly offer secured Microsoft® Windows Terminal Services access solutions based on AEP’s Netilla Security Platform (NSP) SSL VPN and Ericom’s PowerTerm WebConnect.

Ericom’s server-based computing solution provides users with local and remote access to mission-critical enterprise applications residing on a wide range of enterprise systems, including Microsoft Windows Terminal Servers and legacy systems. The AEP Networks and Ericom solution empowers the Terminal Server market with a secure server-based computing solution that meets the security needs of organizations with mobile employees, teleworkers, partners and suppliers.

“Secure remote application access has become a major business requirement for our clients,” said Eran Heyman, Ericom Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Our partnership with AEP Networks will address the growing demand for remote access combined with the need for high-grade network security. AEP and Ericom’s expertise in both areas empower overall secure user mobility.”

AEP’s Netilla Security Platform (NSP) will provide native support for Ericom’s access clients, giving Ericom customers a seamless, secure, cost-effective remote access gateway solution. The NSP, a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) VPN appliance, provides a secure way for off-site business partners, remote workers and mobile employees to access corporate resources through a standard web browser. The NSP secures networks by implementing a variety of safeguards including device authentication, strong encryption and two factor authentication, client integrity scanning, access policy enforcement and application layer proxy protection.

“AEP’s award-winning NSP is unmatched for secure access into Windows Terminal Server-based application environments,” said Reggie Best, executive vice president and general manager of AEP Networks´ Secure Application Access business. “By integrating Ericom’s application access technology with our NSP SSL VPN access gateway, our customers will gain immediate benefits in productivity, accessibility and remote security.”
